HHOA Meeting Minutes for October 14, 2019, Board Meeting, 6:30PM

The monthly meeting was called to order by President Katie Reininger at 6:30 PM

Minutes for the August 20, 2019, and September 9, 2019, Board Meetings were read. A motion to approve was made by Linda Matthews, seconded by Wendell Paulk and approved unanimously.      

Treasurer Ellis Reeves presented the Financial Report covering the 1-1-2019 through October 14, 2019, period. A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report, was made by Wendell Paulk, seconded by Joe Clogher and approved unanimously.

 

Old Business:

1. President Katie Reininger reported that Christmas decorations (used in past years at the front of the subdivision) have been inventoried and stored for 2019. Many will have to be replaced because of age.

2. Katie Reininger has asked Callie Rader to stay on as Crime Watch coordinator. Answer pending.

3. No Solicitation signs will be investigated by Joe Clogher. Results of the investigation to be presented to the Board by Joe Clogher.

4. Wendell Paulk will ask Ronnie Arnold if he will continue cutting the grass at the Century Drive circle.

The Board voted to pay Ronnie Arnold thirty dollars per month to do the cutting. The Board voted to give Seth O’Herin a gift card to cover the cost of gasoline for mowing the area adjacent to the side walk at the undeveloped lots in Spartan Drive, (228, 232, 236, 240, 244 Spartan Drive). Wendell Paulk made the motion to approve, Bill Holton seconded the motion and the Board voted unanimously to approve the motion.

5. Ellis Reeves (Treasurer) has requested that preliminary 2020, budget data be developed by the budget holders and given to Ellis by October 19, 2020.

New Business:  

 1. Wendell Paulk stated that the water bill will increase as a result of improvements being made along Bush River Road. Shrubs, flowers, grass, and the watering system.

2.  Ed Yates will call the owner of the property at 205 Century Drive regarding the repair of damage caused by the fire at that address.

3. Ed Yates will call or write a letter to the owner of the home at 5217 Bush River Road regarding the need trim shrubs, grass, and vines.

4. Ed Yates will report on the names and telephone numbers of our new Lex Co Resident Deputy and 

Code Enforcement Officer.

5. Wendell Paulk reports that Columbia Water Dept is working on the leak at Century Drive and Bush River Road.      

  Committee Reports:

     Communication:  Fall Newsletter articles are due to Steve Shaffer 10/21/19.

     Public Works:  Plan for cleaning of storm water grates will be developed, No solicitation signs.

     Membership:  Thus far 81 dues checks have been received by the Treasurer for 2019.  

     Beautification:  Improving front of neighborhood is number one priority. Christmas decorations are a high priority also.

     Safety/Crime Watch: Katie Reininger to follow up with Callie Rader
